YAS Committees
The Fund-Raising Committee shall develop and coordinate activities and events that provide operational funds for YAS.
- Plans and arranges activities to raise money for the university.
- Work with the Director of Alumni Relations to encourage and increase young alumni giving to the Annual Fund.
- Compiles proposed annual calendars for approval by the executive board.
The Public Relations Committee shall research, develop, and maintain a professional and consistent image throughout all means of communication for the organization.
- Maintains and publishes YAS’s activity calendar.
- Designs and implements logos for the organization.
- Designs paraphernalia for the organization.
- Makes and promotes all communications for public relations.
- Maintains and updates all communication devices (ex. email, website, facebook, etc.)
The Membership Committee shall research, develop, and coordinate how to increase membership and retain current members through publicity, membership drives, and incentives.
- Verifies and updates all new applicants for membership.
- Updates application as needed.
- Maintains accurate and up to date membership records and provides information as requested.
- Compiles and updates the membership database.
- Responsible for seeking new members and retaining current members through publicity, membership drives, and incentives.
- Prepares slates of candidates one month prior to elections.
The Event Committee shall research, develop, and coordinate events and budgeted expenditures.
- Plans and arranges free activities to the students and the general body.
- Compiles proposed annual calendars for approval by the executive board.
- Seeks and presents community service projects for the organization.
- Distribution percentages from profits of events should be determined per event.
